We designed this campervan for our own use and have therefore cut no corners – every detail has been hand finished to a very high standard and all equipment has been selected for long-term performance. Modern styling using lightweight materials provides the performance and convenience you expect from a modern campervan without the plastic fantastic look of mass-produced vehicles. The Transit Custom L2H2 is the perfect size for use as a campervan – easy to drive and park in a standard parking space, but feels very roomy and is large enough to allow even a tall person to move around the living area with ease. Every millimetre of the space was considered in the ergonomic design of this camper to ensure that you feel like you are in a luxury tiny home.
‘Limited’ version of the Ford Transit Custom – the top of the transit van range. Ford released a ‘facelift’ of the transit in 2018 with upgraded security and updated cabin styling + always on LED headlights and innovative load balancing technology that provides an incredibly smooth drive. This van benefits from heated seats, heated auto-fold wing mirrors, and a heated windscreen for year round comfort. Ford’s ‘Sync 3’ system is new to this facelift model and has touch screen tablet control unit with DAB radio, bluetooth connectivity and can make use of Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Front and rear parking sensors included for easy manoeuvring in car parks and always on rear-view camera allows excellent visibility at all times. Pull out double bed – easily slides away while in ‘day mode’ to allow use of seats and dining area. Pulls out at night to sleep two while allowing access to all kitchen cupboards as well as the pull out porta potti that is stored in a bench seat.
Luxurious styling throughout including Harris Tweed fabric upholstery, top of the range hard wearing scrubbable paint, luxury tile backsplash, bespoke copper handles and styling accents, upholstered cabinet interiors (fabric designed by Angel Strawbridge of Channel 4’s ‘Escape to the Chateau’), soft-close drawers and stay-open cabinet hinges. Walls and ceiling are covered with easily cleaned vinyl tiles. Hand-crafted ‘live edge’ solid wood sycamore countertop constructed from sustainably sourced Scottish sycamore purchased at a social enterprise. Treated with best of the best ‘Osmo Oil’ to protect against stains. Completed with an undermount granite effect sink and an automatic 12v water tap. This one of a kind craftsmanship is simply not available in most campervans. Huge amount of storage in multiple overhead cabinets, large ‘garage’ space beneath pull out bed, extra deep kitchen drawer and three level kitchen pull out pantry.
Fully insulated – unlike many campers this van has no exposed metal in the living compartment – massively reduces condensation + increases comfort. All carpeted sections have been backed with insulating closed cell foam and all cavities are filled with eco-friendly and moisture resistant Welsh sheep’s wool insulation. The floor has been well insulated and covered with easily cleaned herringbone effect vinyl flooring.
Stylish 12v tap with a 70 litre potable water tank + 10 litre waste water tank. Both can be easily emptied through the floor of the van at campsites, drinking water can be filled via an included hose, and both have fill level indicators to ensure you are aware of when you need to fill / empty.
Mains electricity hook up point – leisure battery automatically charges while hooked up + internal 230v sockets become available.
Dometic ‘3 way’ fridge with 60L capacity that can run from LPG gas, 12v battery power or 230v hookup mains electricity.
Top of the range MaxxAir ceiling fan for ventilation + cooling. Can be set to air in or air out, runs via a thermostat and controlled by a remote control.
External awning rail mounted to allow quick and easy awning pitching using standard fittings.
Full 12v system with separate ‘leisure’ battery for all lighting / fridge / appliance charging.
